Privacy Policy Plugo for WhatsApp

Effective Date: July 2026

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Plugo for WhatsApp, a Google Chrome browser extension provided by PT Plugo Teknologi Indonesia (“Plugo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) as part of the Plugo platform, handles information in connection with its use (the “Service”).

Plugo for WhatsApp is an additional feature offered under the main Plugo platform. This Policy should be read together with, and does not replace, the main Plugo Privacy Policy available athttps://www.plugo.co/id-privacy-policies. Where this Policy is silent on a topic, the main Plugo Privacy Policy applies. If there is a direct conflict between this Policy and the main Plugo Privacy Policy specifically regarding this Service, this Policy governs.

Plugo for WhatsApp is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc. Your use of WhatsApp remains subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.

1. A Plain-Language Summary

In short, here is what Plugo for WhatsApp does and does not do:

It is operated by a person, not by automation. A Seller (the merchant or their staff) reads WhatsApp conversations themselves and decides when to create an order — the Service does not decide this for them.

It does not read or extract your WhatsApp messages. The extension is not designed to automatically scan, copy, or store the content of chats in WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business.

There is no automated product suggestion. The Seller manually chooses which product(s) from the Plugo catalog to add to an order.

Customer details are typed in by the Seller, not detected or scraped automatically, based on what the Seller sees in the conversation.

Draft orders are created and managed in the Plugostore dashboard (https://admin.plugo.world), and payment is collected via a QRIS code the Seller shares with the customer.

We do not sell customer data or use it for advertising.

2. How Plugo for WhatsApp Works

To make this Policy easier to understand, here is a plain description of the workflow the Service supports:

The Seller installs the Plugo for WhatsApp extension on Google Chrome and uses it alongside WhatsApp Web / WhatsApp Business on their browser;

The Seller reads the conversation with a customer as they normally would, and identifies when the customer wants to place an order;

The Seller manually selects the relevant product(s) from their own Plugo product catalog — the Service does not suggest products automatically;

The Seller manually enters or confirms the customer’s details (such as name, phone number, and delivery address) based on what the customer shared in the chat;

A draft order is created and stored in the Plugostore dashboard at https://admin.plugo.world;

The Seller generates a QRIS payment code and sends it to the customer through WhatsApp for the customer to scan and pay;

Once payment is confirmed, the Seller processes and fulfils the order from within the Plugostore dashboard.

At every step, a human Seller reviews and enters the information — the Service does not read WhatsApp chat content, generate suggestions, or create or process orders on its own.

3. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to the Plugo for WhatsApp Chrome extension, including:

Installing and running the extension in Google Chrome alongside WhatsApp Web / WhatsApp Business;

Manually creating and managing draft orders that link to the Plugostore dashboard (https://admin.plugo.world);

Manually entering customer information (name, phone number, address) as part of a draft order; and

Generating and sharing a QRIS payment code for a draft order.

It does not apply to WhatsApp itself, to the wider Plugostore/Plugo dashboard functionality (covered by the main Plugo Privacy Policy), or to other websites, apps, or services not operated by Plugo, even if linked from within the Service.

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Information the Seller Manually Enters

Plugo for WhatsApp does not automatically read, scan, or extract data from your WhatsApp chats. Instead, when the Seller chooses to create a draft order, the Seller manually types or confirms the following into the Service:

Customer name — as told to the Seller by the customer or already known to the Seller;

Customer phone number — the WhatsApp number the Seller is chatting with;

Customer address — where the customer has shared it, for delivery purposes;

Product selection(s), quantity, and notes — chosen manually by the Seller from the Plugo product catalog.

Because this information is entered by the Seller rather than detected automatically, its accuracy depends on the Seller correctly transcribing what the customer has shared.

4.2 What the Extension Does Not Do

It does not automatically read, copy, store, or transmit the content of WhatsApp messages;

It does not access WhatsApp chat history beyond what is visibly on the Seller’s own screen while they use WhatsApp Web in the normal way;

It does not generate automated or AI-based product suggestions — all product selection is performed manually by the Seller;

It does not automatically detect or extract customer information from chat text.

If this changes in a future version of the Service, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, seek your consent before enabling them.

4.3 Payment Information (QRIS)

When a draft order is ready for payment, the Seller generates a QRIS code through the Plugostore dashboard and shares it with the customer via WhatsApp. The customer then scans and pays using their own banking or e-wallet app.

Plugo (through its payment processing partner(s)) receives payment and order-status information needed to mark the order as paid;

Plugo does not collect or have access to the customer’s banking credentials, card numbers, or e-wallet login details — these are handled directly between the customer and their bank/e-wallet provider and our payment partner.

4.4 Account, Device, and Usage Data

We also collect information needed to operate the Service, such as the Seller’s Plugo account/login details, extension version, installation and update events, browser and device information, and basic usage or error logs, for support, security, and reliability purposes.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

Create, display, and manage draft orders that the Seller initiates;

Link draft orders to the correct customer record and the Plugostore dashboard;

Generate QRIS payment codes and reflect payment status on an order;

Allow the Seller to process and fulfil paid orders in the Plugostore dashboard;

Maintain and improve the reliability, performance, and security of the Service;

Provide customer support and respond to Seller requests; and

Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use customer information collected through the Service for advertising, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond enabling the Seller to create and fulfil the order, unless the customer has given specific consent.

6. Chrome Extension Permissions

The extension is designed to request only the permissions needed to display alongside WhatsApp Web and link to the Plugostore dashboard. Depending on the final build, this may include:

activeTab / tabs — to detect that the Seller is on WhatsApp Web and to open or link to https://admin.plugo.world;

storage — to remember the Seller’s session, login state, and interface preferences locally in the browser;

Host permission for *.whatsapp.com — to run the extension’s interface (e.g., a button or sidebar) alongside WhatsApp Web, without reading or storing chat content;

Host permission for *.plugo.world / plugo.co — to communicate with the Plugostore dashboard and create/update draft orders.

[Please confirm this list against the extension’s actual manifest.json permissions before publishing, and adjust if the extension requests broader access, such as reading page content.]

7. How We Store and Protect Information

Draft orders, customer information manually entered by the Seller, and payment status are stored securely on Plugo’s servers (the same infrastructure used by the Plugostore dashboard);

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/SSL);

We apply access controls so that only the Seller’s own Plugo account (and authorized team members, if applicable) can view their draft orders and customer data;

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, consistent with the security measures described in the main Plugo Privacy Policy.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent customer information collected through the Service. We may share information described in this Policy:

With service providers who help us host, secure, and operate the Service, including payment processing partner(s) that support QRIS payments, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations;

Within the Seller’s own Plugo account/team, so authorized team members can view draft orders and customer information the Seller chooses to share with them;

Where required by law, requested by a competent authority, or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Plugo, our users, or the public;

As part of a merger, acquisition, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law; or

Where the relevant individual has given consent.

9. Data Retention

We retain draft order data, manually entered customer information, and payment status for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, and afterwards only as needed to resolve disputes, meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or as described in the main Plugo Privacy Policy. The Seller may request deletion of this data at any time, as set out in Section 10.

10. Your Choices and Rights

The Seller can edit or delete a draft order and the customer information attached to it, directly in the Plugostore dashboard;

The Seller can uninstall the extension at any time to stop using the Service;

The Seller or a customer may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held by Plugo, subject to applicable law and identity verification;

Requests can be made using the contact details in Section 15.

11. Third-Party (Customer) Data and Seller Responsibility

Because the Seller manually enters information about the people they chat with on WhatsApp — their customers — the Seller is responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis and, where required, the customer’s consent, to collect and enter this information (such as name, phone number, and address) into the Service, and for complying with applicable data protection and consumer protection laws in their dealings with customers. Plugo processes this information only as instructed by the Seller, to create and fulfil the order.

12. Payment Processing and QRIS

QRIS payments made through the Service are processed by Plugo’s designated payment processing partner(s). Those partners handle the actual transfer of funds and are subject to their own applicable regulatory and security requirements (including Bank Indonesia’s QRIS standards). Plugo receives only the transaction and status information needed to update the order in the Plugostore dashboard.

13. Terms for User’s Age

Plugo for WhatsApp is not directed to, and should not be used by, children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing on their own behalf.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, our data practices, or legal requirements. We will post the updated Policy here and revise the effective date above. Material changes will take effect once posted, unless a longer notice period is required by law.

15. Relationship to the Main Plugo Privacy Policy

Plugo for WhatsApp is provided as part of the broader Plugo platform operated by PT Plugo Teknologi Indonesia. By using Plugo for WhatsApp, the Seller also agrees to be bound by the main Plugo Privacy Policy (https://www.plugo.co/id-privacy-policies) and the Plugo Terms of Service (https://plugo.co/terms), which govern use of the Plugo platform and the Plugostore dashboard as a whole.
